Sewing your very own lingerie is simple & completely attainable, there is truly nothing to fear and you are missing out by not trying, thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
I get it, from the outside it seems as if the bra-making arena is pretty intimidating, especially if you haven't sewn anything similar, or anything at all.
I know tons of folks who abstain themselves from even trying because of their fear of failure, fear of how difficult it may be or that it is non achieavable althogether.
In fact, I still remember when at Uni I was consistently told (in multiple occassions) that the machinery needed for lingerie was just of industrial use therefore home sewing lingerie was not an option.
Fortunately, somewhere along the line DIY Bra Making became very trendy and my university even added some lingerie courses to the curriculum. (Sadly I was already out and couldn't enjoy them)
All this to say: YES, SEWING LINGERIE IS A CHALLENGE, but so are many other things when you first try them
IT IS absolutely possible to do it at home, no special equipment needed (except for your good'ol sewing machine), and once you get a hold of what fabrics are ideal and the techniques requiered it is actually pretty straight forward and simple, just like sewing anything else.
So, if you've already sewn dresses you can 100% sew your own lingerie, IN FACT, I'll go as far as saying that even if you've never tried sewing before you can start learning by sewing lingerie, that's how doable it is.
This is why I'm sharing these 2 mini tutes with you, to own the bra-making-game just two elastics at a time.
Picot Elastic
With the video below you'll learn the step by step of sewing picot elastic effortlessly, to get neat results each time.
Fold Over Elastic
Also know as FOE, is my main go-to when sewing lingerie.

There are tons of widths, textures and colors for each elastic out there - the sewing basis shown above are always the same so you'll be able to adapt them on command!
Hope you enjoyed the mini tutes, and in case you have any trouble or Q's shoot me a dm through my ig @garalastudio.
